Wow! They are really getting the knack for drawing. They started with one line on the paper and the rest was followed step by step. I think they are amazing!! I am so proud of all of our pre-school artists!!

After the storybook, Night Catch, by Brenda Ermantraut, pre-k and k made soldiers for veterans day. A great story for military families.

Grade 1

Color theory introduced and then a crayon resist of fall leaves! They did a great job!!!

I absolutely love these close ups of the parts of a flower created in the style of Georgia Okeeffe.

Grade 2

Grade 2 and 3 are learning about ROY G BIV and color as an element of art. They are incorporating color wheel order and some depth perspective by creating linear bottles, and working on line inspired landscapes.

Pumpkin Pie!!! by Grade 2

I love this constructed draw of pumpkin pie! Look for these to be coming home this week, we had a short art class today, all the drawing is finished, some of the children just need some free class time to add the colors.


Christmas Tree Fun!!

After a quick revies of color theory, 4th grade is busy working on a spectrum of trees! I love this project, but of course I do, I love rainbows and trees!!

Grade 5

Fall is in the air, and 5th grade is busy here working on zentangle pumpkins with pencil, pen, and watercolor.

After an introduction to Pop Art, 6th 7th and 8th are using color and line to create pop art drawings inspired by the stlye of Roy Lichtenstein. Students chose an image that they connect with for the subject of their work. I can't wait to see how awesome the rest of these turn out!!!

Using reusable materials, students created these unique landscapes and interesting creations.

After a few practices with sketches and eye renderings, pencil drawing and watercolor drips make these eyes look amazing!

Holiday Painting

The first art class of the month is our Paint Party! Using Acrylic on canvas, this month 8th grade is working on fun Christmas trees!! Stay tuned to see how they turn out!!
